Sightseeing Tour of Loano by train
What if we tell you that in Loano trains don’t just travel on the railway tracks?
And that with a train (a little train, actually) you can reach so many splendid places and visit them in comfort?
All this is possible thanks to the Miletto Tourist Train, which allows adults and children to go through the streets and alleys of Loano comfortably seated “in a carriage”.
Every evening starting at 20.45, with a run every 20 minutes, the train carries out a panoramic tour of the city crossing the seafront and the historic center and showing its passengers the most suggestive glimpses of Loano.
In the afternoon, then, with the little train it is possible to reach the nearby village of Toirano and visit its famous caves: it is the third largest speleological complex in Italy and contains the largest type of stalactites and stalagmites in Europe. And in addition to the caves there is the Ethnographic Museum, which exhibits objects of daily life and of the peasant tradition of the Ligurian hinterland. In Toirano it will also be possible to visit an authentic oil mill and thus discover the process for making oil, from the olive to our table.
A train of fun and possibilities for the whole family.
