The Consorzio Liguria Via Mare was founded in 2005 from the union of the two main operators of Genoa and the Riviera di Ponente, who launched in 1998, in collaboration with WWF Liguria, the naturalistic excursions for whale watching departing from Genoa, Varazze and Savona and, since 2000, also from Loano.
Over the years, thanks to the experience, the harmony of the crews and the expansion of the marine area in which the motor vessels carry out their research, ever higher sighting percentages are reached.
We are proud to be today the leading company in the sector of whale watching and bird watching by sea in Italy, with a growing increase in customers, now coming from all over the peninsula and abroad: the High Quality Whale Watching quality mark, which we have obtained since since 2019 (the year in which the certification was disseminated in Italy as part of the activities of the EcoSTRIM project funded by the Interreg Italy-France Maritime Program 2014-2020 of the European Union), it has been the flagship that confirms the commitment of our Consortium to carry out the whale watching activity in an eco-responsible way.
The Consortium has boats ranging from a capacity of 140 to a maximum of 350 passengers with which we also organize other tours: the “Genoa by the sea” tour, daily excursions departing from Genoa to the most beautiful towns on the coast (San Fruttuoso, Portofino…), port transfers for cruise ship passengers, urban transport by sea on the occasion of important events (Boat Show, Euroflora, etc.), boat rentals for parties or congresses, which can be booked on the website www.liguriaviamare.it.

Our excursions are suitable for people of all ages, also thanks to the presence of a covered lounge for those who prefer not to stay in the sun, equipped with tables and benches. You can access the boat with strollers and wheelchairs, specifying at the time of booking this requirement to enable us to guarantee the correct assistance. The gangway has a width of 80cm. Also the on-board toilet, equipped with changing table, is accessible. On board it is always possible to heat milk or baby food.
