Bike

Monte Carmo is one of the peaks of the Ligurian Alps best known and loved by hikers and mountain bike enthusiasts. Its trails are suitable for both walking and cycling and are characterized by different “degrees of difficulty”.

The Carmo area, therefore, is perfect for all types of athletes, from amateurs who want to spend a wonderful day outdoors in a beautiful place to professionals who want to measure their skills and prepare for the next races (the Vibram Maremontana, one of the main trail races of the circuit, takes place here every year).

But due to its characteristics, Monte Carmo di Loano has become part of the Finale Outdoor Region, one of the most loved Italian destinations by bikers and sportsmen with more than 250 trails with a huge variety of terrains and views, a climate that allows activities practically all year round, shuttle services, riders who come here from all over the world, and world-class sporting events. The vibes of FOR are something unique that is really difficult to give up for all mountain bike enthusiasts.

The variety of environments, terrains and views is certainly a distinctive feature of this portion of the Ligurian Riviera and the Monte Carmo area adds something different once again. Monte Carmo is the highest peak in the Finale Outdoor Region and the first peak in the Alpine chain: the environment is unique and offers, to those who have the patience to reach its summit, a privileged view. From here the gaze ranges 360 degrees from Corsica to the peaks of the Alps.

Thanks to the collaboration between Loano and the Finale Outdoor Region Consortium, four trails have been arranged: the Castagna Trail, the Cava, Criceto, and the Karma Trail, the latter already a special test (the longest ever done in the entire history of Finale events) of the Enduro World Series 2017. Trails that are very different from each other and with different levels of difficulty lead riders to discover a new and lesser-known area of the Region, in the Loano territory. The Karma Trail, in particular, offers a truly epic experience with its almost 7 km length, a negative difference in altitude of over 1000 meters and a breathtaking alpine environment.

An adventure for everyone
